How do they take payments?
Your customer can swipe a card through the reader. Insert a chip card. Or simply tap or wave their card, phone, or smartwatch within a few inches of the terminal for a secure contactless payment.

From there, the cardholder’s info goes to their merchant services provider, who forwards it to the cardholder’s bank. If the bank says yes and the customer has enough funds, the payment goes through. Then the proceeds head back to the merchant services provider — who drops them into your merchant account.
